How it works — from sign-up to payout
Sign up & verify
Fill in your name, email, and phone below. You'll be redirected to Stripe to verify your identity and connect your payout method.
Claim a job
Browse open jobs in your community on your dashboard. Claim one that fits your schedule — first come, first served.
Complete & submit
Do the job, then mark it complete on your dashboard. For outdoor jobs, upload at least one completion photo as proof of work.
Get paid instantly
After a 24-hour customer review window, your earnings are released and instantly sent to your debit card — usually within minutes.
Add a debit card for instant payouts
When Stripe asks how you'd like to receive payments, add a debit card (Visa or Mastercard debit). This unlocks instant payouts — money hits your card within minutes of a job being released. If you only connect a bank account, payouts follow Stripe's standard 2–5 business day schedule instead.

Instant payouts to your debit card
Once a job is released, your earnings are instantly sent to your connected debit card — typically within minutes. Add a Visa or Mastercard debit card in Stripe to unlock this.
24-hour review window
After you mark a job complete, there's a 24-hour window before payment is released. This protects both you and the customer. Once released, your payout hits your debit card almost instantly.
Commission & tips
Neighbour NL charges a commission on completed jobs to support secure payments, platform maintenance, customer support, and ongoing improvements. In return, you get access to local job opportunities, secure payments, and the flexibility to work on your own terms. Tips are always 100% yours. Full details are in the Worker Agreement.
Photo proof for certain jobs
For outdoor and physical jobs (snow clearing, lawn mowing, cleaning, etc.) you must upload at least one completion photo before marking the job done. This protects you from disputes.
